Château Crawhez was built in 1551 by Baron de Crawhez. With a history stretching back over 450 years, this Herve jewel has had many owners over the years. They include the Mayor of Clermont, Monsieur de Bragard descendant of the famous Nagelmackers banking family of Liège. Messieurs Erich Wagemanns and Joachim Lück bought Château Crawhez in 1996. Initially, it was used privately. At the end of 2006, renovations started, and so it was that the château was transformed into an hotel and restaurant.
